The equipment you use depends on your budget and what type of show you plan on creating. . You can get a Rode Rodecaster pro, (599) and a dynamic mic like the shure sm7b (the industry standard 399). Most Dynamic XLR connections mics can benefit from a in-line microphone preamplifier like a fethead (89), cloudlifter(149) ,or dynamite (99) to name a few. Also you may need a pre-amp like the Motu M2 or a Scarlett2i2 depending on how you are going to connect you computer. We also like the DBX 286s for a in-line all in one pre-daw audio adjustments or a 266x for 2 mic /line recording paired with a pre-amp for a less expensive option but good value for money. For mics on a budget we like th Samson Q2U, and the Rode Podmic.
