Should we ban separation and divorce?

Have you noticed how immorality and mendacity have crept into everyday life, not just tolerated by the government, but actually sponsored by it? \U0001f62e
Judges proclaim sentence upon the guilty, but more often than not, it's a farce, and all present clearly understand that the term of imprisonment will be much shorter than the judge's pronouncement.
Professional politicians\u2014lying toe-rags almost to a man\u2014can't be trusted as far as the average man can throw an elephant. The press, which ostensibly exists to hold these perfidious office holders to account, is just as bad, allowing partisanship to overtake the truth and offering up a farrago of bias instead of honest disclosure.
Tayo sees these catastrophic levels of dishonesty and deceit culminating in the horrific figures behind divorce and marriage. He wants to see everyone held to higher standards! If a couple take an oath in front of the state that they will remain together "for better or for worse till death do us part", then the state should enforce it.
Tony, of course, disagrees; he sees no harm in letting people change their minds even though they have taken a solemn oath not to.
