Most people would agree that America is a country with tremendous race relations problems. Some - for example, those who are direct and have little time to beat about the bush - might go further to say that America is probably the most racist country on the planet. This assertion would be much in keeping with Tayo's outlook, which goes further to claim that America can never, and will never cure itself of racism on her own. Tony, the eternal optimist, thinks that because humans are not innately racist (Tayo thinks this is patently untrue) there is hope for the future, and one day, America will (mostly) emerge from her dark history into the light of true racial harmony.
Do you think all this Tony is talking baloney, or do you think Tayo has missed the target by the proverbial country mile?
As usual, we appreciate any feedback you might care to leave, so please have at it. We are now encouraging our audience to send in recorded messages, and we may include these in future "Extra Bits" episodes. If your comments cause outrage or apoplexy, we'll probably have you on the show, because we're weird like that. \U0001f601
