Sometimes we’re kind of caught in the middle, where the 45 DTE time horizon isn’t available in the monthly cycle. In these situations, we effectively have to choose between the front month with around 30 DTE or the back month with around 60 DTE. So how do we choose between the two? As we see with our potential Short Put Spread in FB and Short Strangle in SLV, we let the risk category of the trade help us decide which cycle to select for the strategy.
