b'Focus\\u2026 Music has been the focal point of Grammy-award winning producer Focus\\u2026since his childhood. Bernard Edwards Jr., Manhattan-born on November 6, 1972, developed his musical talent with the help of his live-in inspiration, Bernard Edwards, bassist and co-founder of the 70s R&B group CHIC. Focus\\u2026 grew up watching his father play instruments, write songs and produce music and decided then he wanted to follow in his father\\u2019s footsteps. Focus\\u2026taught himself how to play instruments including the bass guitar, drums and piano.
