Ep. 1: In Vivo Reprogramming and Mini Brains Featuring Dr. Juergen Knoblich

Published: Sept. 28, 2013, 3:42 a.m.

In this episode we start off with a quick general science news roundup before discussing two new papers in stem cell research. Both papers appeared in the journal Nature.

The first describes a novel method of reprogramming somatic cells into iPSCs in vivo, and other describes a method to make a mini cerebral cortex from human embryonic stem cells. The senior author on the latter study, Dr. Juergen Knoblich, joins us to discuss this paper and its implications. And finally, we end with a good old, Seinfeld style, stem cell rant. Enjoy!

We are working on a way to categorize all of the research papers we mention on the show and provide, possibly even provide audio summaries.\xa0 Enter in your name and e-mail address below, and we will notify you of when this feature is available.
