Monday On A Mission - Carpe Diem!

Its the beginning of a new month and a new week! The Real Estate Show marches into a new week with its Monday On a Mission edition asking the question, "If we were having this conversation five years from today, and you were looking back over those five years, what has to have happened in your life, both personally and professionally, for you to feel happy with your progress?" That is a provocative question, no doubt, and you would be well served to take a moment, pause, and really think about it.

Did you do it? Did you really stop and think about it? This is serious! Then let's think together! Specifically, what dangers do you have now that need to be eliminated? This is important, because if you don't face these dangers now, they will continue to threaten and impede your progress. So why not face them head on now, so you can move forward?

Next, what opportunities need to be captured right now or over the next few weeks or months? The time is NOW! I often see people who know of opportunities now, or right on the horizon, and treat them as if they already had the benefit of acting on those opportunities , but hadn't really done anything about them. It's kind of like living off of potential, but not actually. I love the expression "Carpe Diem" or "seize the day"!

And finally, what strengths do you have that need to be maximized? Notice that I didn't say what weaknesses do you have that need to be worked on. If you only work on your weaknesses, you will end up with several modest talents or skills. However if you work on your strengths, like pro athletes do, you'll end up with unique and superior talentsthat will take you a long way. This applies to your real estate business just the same.
