What does \u201cthe cobbler\u2019s kids have no shoes\u201d actually mean? The idea behind this phrase is that someone with a specific skill, knowledge, or desire is often so busy assisting others that their own affairs go unattended. They fail to apply their expertise to the situations that they face and experience some consequences as a result\nHow do we reconcile this concept with the saying \u201cthe more we give the more we receive\u201d? To start, you can\u2019t give to others what you don\u2019t have for yourself. Forgiveness is a great example of something that you need to have for yourself first, in order to be forgiving of others.\nWhen it comes to receiving, our focus should be on appreciation and acknowledgment. When I say appreciation, I mean that you should try to add value to everything that you receive.
