When people used to ask me the difference between a trainer, coach, and a mentor, I used to joke that the difference was the prices and the\ncertifications. Now, I define what it means to be an effective trainer, coach, and mentor differently.\n\nI define a (good) coach as someone who is able to bring the best out of you (and those around you). A trainer also wants to bring the best out of you, but they typically have a narrower area of focus and often work one-on-one. A\nmentor is someone who gives you the best of themselves, whether that is their knowledge, relationships, or even motivation.\n\nTweet me @davidmeltzer your favorite takeaway from today's episode and come ask me questions live every Friday at 11:00 am PST / 2:00 pm EST.
