Two of Phoenix\'s most haunted locations are the Orpheum Theatre and the San Carlos Hotel\\u2014two places Laura Lovato Stenzel knows quite well. As a seasoned ghost tour guide for 14 years, she has shared the tales of the spirits that reside there and even encountered these ghosts herself.

\\nAt the Orpheum Theatre, the most famous spirit is Mattie, who resides in the balcony. Many guests have reported seeing her; some report seeing someone stepping off the balcony and simply disappearing. Another spirit seems to like the stage area and even appeared to a crew member. She was so real that he actually spoke to her.

\\nLaura also feels a deep, personal connection to Leone Jenson, who tragically leaped from the roof of the San Carlos Hotel just weeks after it opened. Laura, along with the help of a few others, has been working on piecing together her story.\\xa0
