Ureena received her PhD in Electrical Engineering, Asset Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Urenna is an electrical engineer with Corning Incorporated here in the States. Having grown up in Nigeria and being witness to the lack of electricity in her country. Urenna developed a strong passion to bring electricity to Africa and contribute in anyway possible. She is volunteering on the conference board for PES Power Africa in June for her second time as well as having founded EmpowerDISS in 2013, a program with connections to local high schools in Nigeria working to help more students make the transition into college and beyond through mentorship and working with alumni programs, and will continue to fight to bring the percentage down as fast as possible.
