Ryan Sitton is one of the world’s leading energy experts. In 2014, he was elected to the Texas Railroad Commission, the state agency that oversees oil and gas regulation in Texas. A native Texan who grew up in the Irving area, Ryan is a graduate of Texas A&M University where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering, and met his wife, Jennifer. In 2006, Ryan and Jennifer founded PinnacleART, an engineering and technology company focused on reliability and integrity programs for the oil, gas, and petrochemical, mining, pharmaceutical, and wastewater industries. Ryan was elected to the Railroad Commission in 2014 and is the first engineer to serve on the Commission in 50 years.
As Railroad Commissioner, Ryan uses his technical expertise and business experience to make decisions for the state that are based on sound science and employs a fiscally conservative approach to prioritize the agency’s efforts. Ryan and his wife have three children, and an impressive collection of over 100,000 Legos. He is deeply honored to serve as your Railroad Commissioner and is excited to serve the people of Texas.
