She finds a very different parenting culture within these communities. Parents talk less, children are more independent, and the parent-child relationship is built on cooperation instead of control. These families are also family-centered instead of child-centered. In this interview, Doucleff explores the differences and how we can apply them to modern-day parenting.\xa0
