'BradCast' 6/5/2023 (Biden Won the Debt Deal and Media -- Right, Left and Other -- Should Make That Clear)

On today's 'BradCast':\xa0 President Biden outfoxed Congressional Republicans in his ingenious debt ceiling deal, blocking three GOP-engineered fiscal cliffs over the next two years for the price of less than one.\xa0 Biden's deal ended the GOP's attempt to extort massive budget cuts under threat of forcing the US into default and triggering a global economic meltdown, and blocks future GOP hostage-taking schemes for two years. Many on the Left criticized Biden for not using several untried options, like invoking the 14th Amendment, minting a platinum coin, or ordering the Treasury Department to pay the bills while daring Republicans to try to sue him. Biden agreed to painful budget cuts and other concessions, but Republicans got shockingly little in the deal. It's a shame that so many in the U.S. media - - on the Right, Left and Other - - seem incapable of accurately informing the American electorate about what actually just happened. Callers weigh in. Also today:\xa0 Several Republicans entered the 2024 GOP Presidential race, including Mike Pence and Chris Christie, while New Hampshire GOP Gov. Chris Sununu, declined. Progressive activist and academic Cornel West announced a 2024 Presidential run under a third-party banner.\xa0 Plus some accountability: Cartoonishly corrupt Republican Attorney General of Texas Ken Paxton was impeached by the far-right Texas legislature. Republican disinformation artist James O'Keefe was sued by his own company, Project Veritas, for misconduct.
