'BradCast' 3/19/2019 (Under Water, Under the Gun, Under Pressure)

On today's 'BradCast': Donald Trump responded to record, devastating flooding in the Midwest by sending his Vice President Mike Pence, and therefore didn't see firsthand how, yet again, climate disruption is wreaking costly havoc on virtually every area of the U.S. In Nebraska, U.S. Air Force Strategic Command, which oversees our nation's nuclear arsenal, has been inundated by floodwaters, despite upgrading its flood control infrastructure to withstand a "thousand year flood" in 2015, which turned out be insufficient. Yet the Trump White House is still reportedly preparing a panel to rebut the U.S. military's assessment that climate change is a national security threat, which will be headed by a prominent climate science denier. Two 2020 Democratic Presidential candidates have called for the Electoral College to be abolished -- Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and South Bend, IN Mayor Pete Buttigieg. Whether done via constitutional amendment or via the growing National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, there are a number of reasons that may or may not be a good idea, and Dems may want to be careful what they wish for. Also today: a Missouri state lawmaker has introduced two bills that would force every state resident to buy at least one an AR-15 and a handgun.
