In fact, Terri describes the season of becoming an empty nester as one of the most challenging times of her life. She quickly went from having too much to do and not enough time in the day to having too much time and not enough to do. Terri quickly realized that despite having a successful career and a happy marriage, she still struggled with the change of identity that comes when a mother is no longer needed by her children.
