This is a great discussion about things that we don't talk about\\nmuch in anthropology and the sciences, but should.\\nJonathan Marks is Professor of Anthropology at the University of North Carolina\\nat Charlotte, where he has taught since the beginning of the present millennium,\\nafter brief stretches at Yale and Berkeley. His primary training is in\\nbiological anthropology and genetics, but his interests are broad, and he has\\npublished on the topics of human origins and human diversity across the sciences\\nand humanities from American Anthropologist to Zygon. In 2006 he was elected a\\nFellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. In 2012 he\\nwas awarded the First Citizen's Bank Scholar's Medal from UNC Charlotte. In\\nrecent years he has been a Visiting Research Fellow at the ESRC Genomics Forum\\nin Edinburgh, at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin,\\nand a Templeton Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study at Notre Dame. His\\nwork has received the W. W. Howells Book Prize and the General Anthropology\\nDivision Prize for Exemplary Cross-Field Scholarship from the American\\nAnthropological Association, and the J. I. Staley Prize from the School for\\nAdvanced Research. His most recent book is called Is Science Racist? (Polity\\nPress), and next one is called Why Are There Still Creationists?.
