My guest today is, Nigel Pena, whom I hereby name, The Unsung Hero of Corporate Recruitment. I\u2019ll qualify that momentarily.
In addition to being unsung, he is reluctant. Don\u2019t get me wrong, if you look for him, you will find him. But where you will not find him is blogging, sharing the newest recruitment tips and tricks on LinkedIn and god forbid at one of the \u201cfar-to-many\u201d HR/Talent Acquisition meet-ups, summits and networking sessions.
It\u2019s not that those activities are beneath him. It\u2019s that he\u2019s chosen to be a Ronin\u2026a consummate master in his field that travels the road alone, serving those in need of his expertise with a level of passion and integrity that I haven\u2019t seen well\u2026.ever.
While he doesn\u2019t express it in an open forum (this podcast is a major exception), you can tell by listening to him that he is constantly thinking about it. \u201cIt\u201d being, the candidate experience, his consultative approach with his clients and lastly, his disillusionment with the current state of the recruitment industry.
No wonder you can\u2019t find him out there in the ether, preaching\u2026.he\u2019s far too busy\u2026practicing.
