This story is called "The Boy Who Left Home to Find Fear" or " The Tale of a Youth Who Set Out to Learn What Fear Was" or "Good Bowling and Card Playing". It's a German folktale collected by the Brothers Grimm as well as Andrew Lang in the Blue Fairy Book. This story shows us the inability to feel fear leads to boredom, animal cruelty, and bullying the elderly.
