Fabio Furini is a Research Fellow at the Italian National  Research Council (CNR). From  2013 to  2019, he was a Ma\u0131\u0302tre de Conf\xe9rences (equivalent to Associate Professor) at the Laboratoire d\u2019analyse et mod\xe9lisation de syst\xe8mes pour l\u2019aide \xe0 la d\xe9cision (LAMSADE) of Universit\xe9 Paris-Dauphine. Fabio Furini is a researcher in the fields of mathematical programming and discrete optimization.  His backbone research project aims at studying and developing effective exact algorithms, based on reformulation and decomposition techniques, for Mixed Integer Linear and Nonlinear Programs. Over the last ten years, Fabio Furini has published numerous articles in top international journals in the field of  discrete mathematics and combinatorial optimization. He received a Ph.D in Automation and Operations Research at the University of Bologna in 2011 and he has obtained the Habilitation \xe0 Diriger des Recherches (HDR) at Universit\xe9 Paris-Dauphine, in  2017. He has also held visiting positions at prestigious universities in Europe and the United States, including the University of Colorado and the Imperial College of London.
