Martin talks about rewilding and how it is starting to gain traction around the world.\xa0 The premise is that certain places that have been used by human beings, such as farming, ranching or in one case a bridge, can be returned to a state of wilderness or near wilderness.\xa0 The benefits are many, from combating climate change, to providing eco-tourism opportunities, to creating ways of using sustainable wild products, such as fish, deer and bison.\xa0
Martin chooses three examples of rewilding in action.\xa0 Two of them, the Scottish Rewilding Alliance (which seeks to make Scotland the rewilding capital of the world) and the American Prairie Reserve, are well underway.\xa0 The third is highly unusual, The Bison Bridge Project, a first of its kind rewilding program that is worth paying attention to.\xa0 All of these places are able to be visited and each have interesting and well-developed websites.\xa0 Tune in.
