I found it at a garage sale.\\xa0 Someone was getting rid of their family heirlooms.\\xa0 Not jewels or ancient scrolls or photo albums from bygone eras.\\xa0 Just cookware and cutlery, end tables, mismatched dining sets, and the like.\\xa0 I was supposed to be looking for something specific and practical.\\xa0 A desk.\\xa0 But something else caught my eye.\\xa0 It looked exactly as I would imagine a witch\\u2019s pot would look like.\\xa0 Coal-black cast iron.\\xa0 Bulging, maybe three or four quarts big, with three stubby feet and a handle.\\xa0 I paid five dollars for it.
