National Sewing Machine Day (June 13) is the same week as Juneteenth (June 19). This episode recognizes African American inventor Garrett Morgan. It is well known that he created the 3 way traffic light: before Morgan's innovation, traffic lights were either red or green. He introduced the yellow light, a public safety precaution still used today.
