As an actor, she claims to be in a category \u2018all of her own\u2019 as far as roles go, especially when there doesn\u2019t seem to be many roles for actors in her age bracket.\nShe didn\u2019t come to acting until late. Having done theatre at university, it wasn\u2019t until her late 30s that she turned professional.\nSince our conversation, she has delivered a celebrated turn in the play John for Outhouse Theatre Company and in 2021 she was acknowledged by the Sydney Theatre awards for her lifetime achievement as an actor.\nThrough April/May this year, Maggie performed with the Belvoir Theatre in their production of Alana Valentine\u2019s Wayside Bride. She was as vivacious and engaging as ever - not bad for 88!!\nSo how has she managed longevity in what can be a pretty tough industry? She reveals all in this wonderful reflection.
