Touted as “a left-field legend in the making? (Rhythms Magazine), intriguing improvising singer-songwriter Jackie Marshall is "that rare thing: an Aussie original" (The Weekend Australian), and surely one to watch.

Her 2006 debut record "Fight n'Flight" with its alternative folk- and country-influenced “improvised art-house feel? is the only fully independent release to make finalist in Australia's answer to the UK's Mercury Music Prize, the Australian Music Prize.

Renowned for her vocal acrobatics and distinctive delivery style, Jackie was hand-picked by top selling Australian artist Missy Higgins in May to support Higgins on the sold-out Queensland leg of her “On A Clear Night? tour as a part of Australian national youth broadcaster Triple J’s Unearthed series.

She has recently completed a series of performances for iconic Queensland concert series Women In Voice at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre and has recently featured on SBS Television program favourite RocKwiz dueting with Australian music legend Colin Hay.

Jackie embarks upon pre-production for a new album in the coming weeks. This record is slated for release early 2008.
