As the Taliban took control of Kabul, the terrorist group also seized Bagram Air Base, freeing thousands of U.S. prisoners, including some of the Taliban's most hardened fighters and senior al Qaeda operatives. Even CNN's Jake Tapper made the comment of how “shockingly” wrong President Biden was when he said it was “highly unlikely” the Taliban would quickly take over Afghanistan.
