Thank you again to D'Nique so much for commissioning this entire book. I really appreciate you coming back so that I could finish it, and I wonder what a third book would have been like.
I went into this final section with no real idea how the book could end and still be satisfying. And the truth is, there is plenty about it that isn't satisfying because it's not meant to be. I'm really kind of stunned at the turn things took in these final chapters because I already hated Marc so much, and I didn't think it could get worse.
The tragedy of this ending, despite the hopefulness of it.
Ugh.
