American pianist Lara Downes has been redefining what it means to be a classical musician, often by expanding our definition of classical music. She\u2019s championed the works of women and Black composers; she\u2019s been a cultural activist and a broadcaster. Now, she\u2019s\xa0commissioned a radical new arrangement of Gershwin's "Rhapsody In Blue" by Puerto Rican composer Edmar Col\xf3n, to mark the 100th anniversary of Gershwin\u2019s iconic piece.
