Fletch - Tom The Gay Zombie

On this episode of "Showtime with Jordan von Haslow & Friends" on HOT 702.5FM Las Vegas,\xa0Matthew Fletcher, known as Fletch, dialed in to discuss his latest work, "Tom the Gay Zombie." \xa0 Fletch is a creative director who turned to comic drawing during the pandemic. He decided to pursue his passion for drawing and writing, and his first work, "Tom the Gay Zombie," was born. The comic book is based on a jukebox musical, \u201cGay Zombies,\u201d that Fletch previously produced in New York. It tells the story of a zombie who, after rising from the dead, discovers he is gay. \xa0 His unique take on the zombie genre has gained him a following and critical acclaim. He uses his artwork to break down stereotypes and promote acceptance and equality. \xa0 Jordan and Fletch learned that they both grew up in the suburbs of Chicago as \u201ctheatre kids\u201d. Fletch described growing up in a \u201cschool district that had great arts program. I feel really lucky for that. I got to explore a lot of different mediums. I always had a sketch book on hand.\u201d Listeners also learned about his time at Carnegie Mellon University, where he graduated as a theatre major alongside classmate Zachary Quinto. He also shared about his career as a creative director, working with amazing celebrity talent, including James Corden and former President Obama. \xa0 Fletch's book launch was held at Miami Beach Pride's Queer Arts Show, and signed editions of \u201cTom the Gay Zombie\u201d are available for purchase by visiting @tomthegayzombie on Instagram, and also widely available on retail platforms like Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
