Culture of Urine Cultures: Limiting Inappropriate Testing & Treatment

As a result, over-treatment of asymptomatic bacteriuria has become common. Additionally, especially in catheterized patients, this may be leading to an increase of labeling of \u201ccatheter associated urinary tract infections.\u201d This episode will focus on strategies to better target patients for urine cultures, when appropriate.
