93: Panic & Perspective

Nothing is as bad as it seems.\xa0Nothing is as great as it seems.\n\xa0\nI have been taught this lesson over the years and I needed it this week \u2013 a few times.\xa0Life threw me for a few loops this week.\xa05 loops to be exact.\xa0There was the mold scare, the car scare, the dog scare, my mom\u2019s medical emergency, and Vinnie\u2019s trip to the ER.\xa0\n\xa0\nMy tendency is to PANIC when I get hit with these curve balls.\xa0While I\u2019m outwardly very calm, internally I am planning for the worst in every way.\xa0I jump to conclusions, let my mind race endlessly, and assume my pretty little life will be irreparably harmed.\xa0\n\xa0\nDo you do this?\xa0Please tell me I\u2019m not alone.\xa0\n\xa0\nBut, here\u2019s the TRUTH\u2026..\n\xa0\nJust to the left (or right) of your internal freak out is this:\n\nIt will all be ok\n\nYou are strong \u2013 phsycially, mentally, emotionally\n\nYou have a great support network \u2013 husband, friends, family, fan club\n\nYou are resourceful\xa0\n\nYou are adaptable\n\nYou are a fighter\n\nYou are resilient\xa0\n\nYou will learn from every challenge\n\nYou will grow from every challenge\n\n\xa0\n\xa0\nTherefore, it is imperative that when faced with a challenge or hardship, you must:\n\nBe up for the challenge\n\nBe ready to dig deep\n\nBe ready to stretch yourself in uncomfortable ways\n\nTake the space and time you need\xa0\n\nAsk for help\xa0\n\nMake concessions\xa0\n\nProcess\n\n\xa0\n\xa0\nTune in to hear by 5 crises and how I my perspective saved me from my panic.\n\xa0\nLinks Mentioned:\nSMA Episode 62: Carrie Wilkerson \u2013 The Barefoot Executive\nLearn more about your ad choices.
