79: Start Telling New Stories
It is so easy to get stuck in our old stories:\n\xa0\n\nI can\u2019t find a husband because of my daddy issues.\n\nI will never be fit because of my family genetics.\n\nI will never make very much money because no one in my family makes very much money.\xa0\n\nI\u2019ll never go to college because we can\u2019t afford it and no one in my family has gone to college.\n\nI can\u2019t start my own business because I don\u2019t know anything about business.\n\nMy life will never feel complete with just one child \u2013 I\u2019ll always feel a sense of loss over this.\xa0\n\n\xa0\nI have told myself some of these stories.\xa0I have seen others tell themselves some of these stories.\xa0\n\xa0\nWe get stuck in our stories and don\u2019t progress in certain areas of our lives because we are COMMITTED to our stories.\xa0We can see past them, or around them, or through them.\xa0\n\xa0\nBut, the truth???\n\xa0\n\nYou can find the man of your dreams.\n\nYou can get in amazing shape.\n\nYou can make unlimited amounts of money.\n\nYou can go to college \u2013 and grad school.\n\nYou can start your own business.\n\nYou can be 100% happy and fulfilled with just one child.\xa0\n\n\xa0\nTo create a new story, you have to start changing the conversation in your head.\xa0You have to start talking to yourself differently.\xa0You have to be open to new and different influences.\xa0You have to be open to growth and discomfort to find the magic that lies juuuust outside your current comfort zone.\xa0Our old stories are comfortable and familiar \u2013 which is why we hold them close to our hearts.\xa0\n\xa0\nBy getting challenging yourself to get a little uncomfortable in new conversations with yourself, you will push you right through your old stories and into new ones that will change your attitude.\xa0Your new attitude will change your behavior.\xa0You new behavior will change your outcomes.\xa0Your new outcomes will change your reality.\xa0\n\xa0\nStart telling yourself new stories.\xa0\n\xa0\nLearn more about your ad choices.
