67: How to Create Happiness Boosters

I first heard of Happiness Boosters from the amazing Gretchen Rubin (author of The Happiness Project).\xa0In the last few months I\u2019ve given considerable thought to how we can create joy or boost happiness on a whim.\xa0\n\xa0\nSure, I would love to do a weekend of wine tasting in Napa to boost my happiness.\xa0But that requires a lot of planning, travel, and money.\xa0It\u2019s important to have big Happiness Boosters like this from time to time.\xa0But ,it\u2019s also important to consciously create small happiness boosters for yourself, on a moments notice.\xa0\n\xa0\nThere is no end to the quick (and cheap) Happiness Boosters you can create for yourself \u2013 TODAY.\xa0\n\xa0\nTake a few minutes to rearrange a space in your home or office so you really love spending time in it.\xa0\n\xa0\nGet rid of something that has been annoying you forever and replace it with something that functions the way you want it to.\n\xa0\nInvest in a little things that make a big difference in your quality of life or at least the quality of your day (like my cordless vacuum.)\n\xa0\nDo something little to make your home or office more comfortable.\n\xa0\nCreate something that elicits an emotional response (frame those baby pictures you\u2019ve been holding on to forever!)\n\xa0\nThese little things make a big difference in your daily happiness.\xa0This, in turn, impacts your overall quality of life.\xa0Don\u2019t underestimate the little things.\xa0They are BIG.\xa0\n\xa0\nListen in \u2013 and then go get yourself a new soap pump!\xa0\n\xa0\nLearn more about your ad choices.
