A couple years ago, I had a major AHA.\xa0I was reading Jon Acuff\u2019s book, FINISHED, and he was talking about perfectionism and the connection between perfectionism and procrastination.\xa0\nSociety tells you that procrastination is a sign of laziness or a lack of commitment.\xa0Society makes procrastinators feel like crap.\xa0\nBut Jon pointed out that procrastination can often be a form of perfectionism.\xa0\nWe already know that perfectionism keeps us in our own way - BIG TIME.\xa0It prevents us from starting and even more so from finishing.\xa0\xa0Same with procrastination.\xa0We often procrastinate because we are spinning in perfectionism:\nWhat is the next right step?\nShould I go with option A or option B?\nWhat if I can\u2019t finish?\nWhat if I can\u2019t even start?\nWhat if I fail and other people judge me?\nWhat if, what if, what if????\nAny of this sound familiar?\xa0\nAll of this month, we are talking about getting out of your own way.
