This disease exponentially increases a patient\\u2019s risk of heart attack and/or stroke. Yet, 40% of these patients show no apparent signs of this disease. Early detection depends upon a physician\\u2019s ability to identify symptoms and risk factors.\\nPAD is a serious, yet treatable, disease. Proper treatment may slow down and even halt progression of the disease, while also reducing the risk of patients developing other devastating health complications, such as heart attack and stroke.
