It's not pricing, content or tech, which are all the things people worry about. It's mostly because memberships don't:
- Make it easy for members to take action and get results
- Have positioning that does a good job of attracting the right members (and don't know who those idea members are), and
- Haven't worked out their marketing and sales funnel
