2021 was the year that I decided to get serious about my skin and by way of hashtags and some intense ig scrolling (and trolling lol), I happened upon Brynna of 7 Esthetics Skin Studio. Brynna is a corporate employee turned esthetician/entreprenuer whose passion for skincare was birthed from her own experiences with acne and hyperpigmentation. I do not say this lightly when I tell you guys that she has changed my skin and my life. I've always been a little insecure when it comes to my skin, but I was making the mistake of following skincare routines from influencers and not licensed professionals. Oof.

Today we're talking about:

  • Understanding the difference between a skincare expert/esthetician and a dermatologist and when to see each one
  • Getting serious about your skincare and skin health (Black does crack, y'all)
  • Tackling the awkward conversation on how to break up with your esty when they're no longer your bestie
  • Skincare products to lean towards depending on the skin challenge you're trying to solve
  • Why the clean beauty movement is not always effective when it comes to skincare (plot twist: chemicals can be our friend)

+ more! This is a super informational episode as Brynna is one of the most knowledgeable people I know.\xa0
