Molly McGhee: How Artists Game The System (Colorado Gold Masterclass Preview)

Molly McGhee is from a cluster of small towns just north of Nashville, Tennessee. She writes fiction, essays, and teaches in the undergraduate creative writing department at\xa0Columbia University. Her debut novel,\xa0Jonathan Abernathy You Are Kind, is forthcoming from\xa0Astra House\xa0in late 2023. Her work has appeared in publications like\xa0The Paris Review.\xa0

In addition to writing, Molly has worked in the editorial and digital departments of\xa0McSweeney\u2019s\xa0and\xa0The Believer\xa0as well as\xa0MCD\xa0and\xa0FSG Originals\xa0and as an assistant editor at\xa0Diane\xa0Williams\u2019\xa0NOON. Most recently, Molly worked in the editorial department of\xa0Tor\xa0bringing luminaries\xa0such as John M. Ford back to print through\xa0The Tor Essentials Series, launching the instant\xa0New York Times\xa0Bestselling\xa0Atlas Six\xa0series, as well as assisting in the launch of\xa0Tor\u2019s\xa0horror imprint,\xa0Nightfire.

Molly graduated from\xa0Columbia University\xa0with an\xa0MFA in fiction. While there she taught undergraduate creative writing as a\xa0Teaching Fellow.\xa0
