Survivors advocate for independent body for state, church abuse claims

The Salvation Army is lukewarm about the idea of an independent body to deal with claims of abuse in the care of the state and churches. Survivors have been advocating for an independent organisation to avoid them having to seek redress from the institution where the abuse took place. The Abuse in Care Royal Commission is hearing from churches about how they have handled cases of historical abuse. Andrew McRae reports from the hearing.
