Police in the United Kingdom clashed with mourners on Saturday at a "reclaim the streets" vigil for Sarah Everard, who was abducted and murdered as she walked home from a friend's flat on March the 3rd. A serving Metropolitan police officer has been charged with the kidnap and murder of the 33-year-old, whose body was found in woodland in Kent last Wednesday. Vigils were held across the country, the largest being in Clapham Common near to where Ms Everard is believed to have been abducted. Police warned people not to attend the event due to Covid-19 restrictions but many hundreds did, and officers pushed through the crowd to try and disperse them, leading to numerous violent clashes. One woman who was at the vigil was Molly Hills, who spoke with Nathan Rarere.
