Amnesty International meets with minister over NZ prisons

Amnesty International is urging the Minister of Corrections to order an urgent and independent review of New Zealand prisons. Kelvin Davis met with Amnesty yesterday to hear demands for a review in the wake of revelations of "degrading" and "inhumane" treatment of inmates at Auckland Women's Prison. Meg de Ronde is Amnesty's executive director in Aotearoa.
