This mix is about resistance, soul, hope, love, empathy, soul, and funkiness. It's partially a reaction to the deep outrage and anger so many, including myself, have felt and expressed since November. That much outrage, while justifiable, gets heavy fast, so I started looking for tracks that felt optimistic and free. There's some disco, soulful house, and a few excellent South African house tracks (mostly Black Coffee), and it starts with some of Obama's speech at the 50th anniversary of the Selma march.\n\nxo,\n8ball
