Sturgill Simpson is one of the most enigmatic voices in today's country scene.
Refusing to be pigeonholed to a genre he's released Honky Tonk, Cosmic Country, Country Soul, Rock n Roll, and Blue Grass albums.
Hailed as one of the hero's of the current Nashville Revival, Simpson has charted a course that is uniquely his and is fighting to wrestle country music back from
the bland and uninspired Arena Country Pop music that has dominated the genre over the last decade.
Join Brendan and I as we discuss his journey and the changing direction of his discography. As always, playlists containing all the songs featured on this episode are linked to at revealingtherecords.com
