How do you develop and mature your remodeling business?\n\nThis is the question Mark Richardsons proposes in this episode of Remodeling Mastery.\n\nHe sees 7 key attributes of more mature businesses:\n\n1)\tA clear sense of purpose \u2013 they know what they are about, i.e. mission statement and core values that are clearly communicated to the team.\n\n2)\tThe sweet spot \u2013 they know what their core project is that really defines what their business is about. Which project is your bread and butter that your team excels at?\n\n3)\tHungry and not desperate \u2013 They do the right things, the smart things at the right pace. Desperate businesses make a lot of mistakes and often seek out the wrong client that won\u2019t allow them to grow and make a profit.\n\n4)\tBalance \u2013 short, medium and long-term strategy and goals are well balanced - positioning for the future. The more mature businesses have a very nice balance perspective.\n\n5)\tAbility to predict \u2013 They watch the market conditions, look back at history and use that skill to predict future outcomes.\n\n6)\tConsistency in terms of results \u2013 sales, lead flows, profitability, both short term and long term.\n\n7)\tThinking in terms of growth \u2013 positioning themselves correctly, working very much on the business, not just on the day-to-day projects.
