\nThen we watched the powerful new Netflix documentary Disclosure, about the history of how American TV and cinema has representated transgender people onscreen \u2013 and how that has impacted how culture sees trans people.

\nRifa is re-reading bell hooks' All About Love (which she may have recommended before on an earlier series of Refigure), while Chris is reading Priyamvada Gopal's history book Insurgent Empire: Anticolonial Resistance And British Dissent.
