In today’s episode we are joined by Dr. Yuval Engel, Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Amsterdam. We dive deep into his research on hiring in early-stage startups and explore the concept of diversity debt. We also discuss how companies can build diversity and inclusion in their hiring process. About Dr. Yuval Engel: Dr. Engel is Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam. His main research interests are entrepreneurial decision-making under uncertainty and early hiring in startups with a focus on diversity and inclusion. He is originally from Israel but has been living in Amsterdam since 2005. Married to Dr. Lena Knappert-Engel (VU Amsterdam) and father to Milan Engel.
