I\u2019ve been lax in my In Your Car podcasts lately. Actually, I just got back from a Florida vacation with my family. The Destin area is one of our favorite spots. But the fact that while I\u2019m away, my business continues to operate, led me to thinking about vacations back then and now.

I remember all too well when I was in Corporate America, how excited I was when I\u2019d worked my way up to 2 full weeks of vacation. And how bummed I felt when it was over, and when I\u2019d used up all my personal days. It was so frustrating.

\n

Then I remembered back to when I\u2019d just quit my job to go full time in real estate investing, how different it felt to go away on a trip, and then extend the time away if we chose to do that.

\n

The difference was like night and day.

\n

In this episode, I talk about the idea of living a lifestyle where you don\u2019t really have to make a distinction between work and vacation. Yes, you still have to work hard to get your business going, but once you have systems in place, more and more of your time will be your time. Not the company\u2019s time.

\n

It\u2019s a great goal to strive for.
