Chapter 12 of the Adventures of Tom Sawyer by mark twain gives a satire about the misinformation spread in the name of periodicals and print media, still very prevalent today but taken on a digital more virus like format. Tom gets 'treatment' for his gloomy mood from his aunt and also comes to know that Beck is Ill and tries to find out about her.
