Why do we make things mean more than they actually mean?
We all do it.\xa0
We realize a kid doesn\u2019t know how to tie their shoes at age 12, and we tell ourselves we\u2019re forgetting to teach SO MANY IMPORTANT THINGS.\xa0
We feed our kids frozen pizza for dinner twice in a week and think it means we don\u2019t care about their health.\xa0
We sleep late and tell ourselves we\u2019re lazy.\xa0
We have a late reader and think it means we\u2019re not good at this \u201cteaching reading\u201d thing.\xa0
We make things mean what they don\u2019t mean ALL THE TIME.
