Australian singer Penelope Trappes came into her own on Penelope One, her debut solo album released via Optimo back in summer of 2017. She followed it up with her sophomore release Penelope Two at the end of last year, this time making a home on fabric's inhouse label Houndstooth. Musically both albums signalled a shift away from the dancefloor-focused productions she'd become known for as one half of The Golden Filter; think minimal soundscapes, distant echoing vocals and sparse atmospheric textures wrought with emotion.\n\nJune saw the release of Redeux, her second LP on Houndstooth, which saw her invite several producers to rework the original tracks first heard on Penelope Two.
